60's Huge Patent Leather Bag by "Bon Gout"
| When I spotted this
fantastic bag...it looked almost nothing like it does now...but knowing
how well I clean up...I saw infinite potential, hidden under layers of
neglect...I took it home and with a good amount of elbow grease restored
it to it's present Glory...what I unearthed was a phenomenal black patent
leather bag by a French company called "Bon Gout "...Perfect for those
days when a small clutch or dainty purse just won't cut it...and you need
a bit of serious vintage handbag wear...this stunner is just what the
doctor ordered ! Very large, with ample shoulder straps that fit perfectly
on your arm and lovely gold tone accents...the inside of the bag is
another work of art in and of it self...Three separate compartments, two
of which appear to be lined in black silk faille fabric, the middle
compartment has a sturdy gold push button clasp and is lined in matching
black leather, not patent leather...simple luxurious black leather.
Fabulous condition...thanks to yours truly and "Bon Gout". Measures a
striking 18" high ( including the shoulder straps ), 13" long and 5" wide
at the base of the bag. The body of the bag without the straps is 10"
high...Don't pass this one up...you'll be sorry you did ! I just Love the
