What can I say: A stunning vintage 1940's real Mouton fur coat that's both stylish and incredibly warm. The coat features a thick pile fur exterior, comes fully lined in luxurious satin fabric, full cut sleeves and classic 40's styling make for the perfect addition to your winter wardrobe. Mouton, a French word for Sheep, is actually sheared sheepskin. Made to resemble other types of fur such as Seal or Beaver. Far less expensive, Mouton quickly gained popularity in the 30's & 40's and became the perfect surrogate for pricier furs. Fashionable, economical and practical...Three cheers for Mouton! Mint condition, with the exception of a small break in the fur on the inside of the collar ( an easy mend).
