This custom made 1960's wedding gown is fit for a Queen...or a princess...the cut is so reminiscent of Grace Kelley and Jackie O' or Audrey Hepburn...so classic and timeless. Done in a rich golden Ivory silk satin fabric, the body of the dress is also fully lined in what appears to be a silk-cotton blend fabric of winter white. No zippers any where to be found on this work of art gown...it simply closes up the back with 39 small fabric covered buttons, the pointed sleeve cuffs close with 5 matching fabric covered buttons...the bodice of the dress is very fitted and completely covered with a matching ivory lace, completely adorned and covered with the tiniest of ivory seed pearls...the bodice and the sleeves are lined with ivory netting to provide just the right amount of sheerness and coverage. High neck...almost Edwardian looking in style but with the 60's slim cut and modernistic styling we love about that era ! The dress has a detachable train, that gently billows out at the sides and the back and is attached with hidden hooks at the waist. The train is done in the same fabric as the dress...Both pieces are in very good condition...the dress is actually Mint...but there is some wear shown on the train, this is in the form of some minor discoloration...now I have not had the train professionally treated for stain removal...I'm leaving that up to the future bride...and with professional treatment I'm sure that the train will look 100% better...the gown is 100% wearable as is...but I know how fussy brides are...and you have every right to be...I mean come on...it's like the most special day of your life...just in case you're still not happy or feel the least bit self-conscious...you can have a professional re-sew the panels of the train, so the the outside of it is Perfect...just a thought...but trust me...this is a very special Wedding Gown...for a very special Diva ! The pictures don't do the dress any justice at all...but I'll be working on taking better photo's...but in the mean time...here you are ! The dress measures up to: 34" at the bust, 26" at the waist, 37" at the hips, 15" from shoulder to waist and 57" long from shoulder to hem.
