80's "Versace" Silk Jersey Goddess Dress This Amazing Versace "Goddess" dress is featured in the book that accompanies the Goddess Exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art Never a huge fan of Versace and his over the top bold prints, this dress made me take back all the not so wonderful things I've ever said to anyone who was close enough to listen ! This breathtaking "Greco-Roman" silk jersey dress from Versace is the epitome of, what I feel is his best, most elegant work. This superbly draped late 70's/early 80's silk jersey concoction is just plain "Awesome". Unlined and painstakingly executed with drapes and folds, a deep cut out front and back neckline, modified dropped waist...masterful beauty at it's best ! It's almost impossible to see where one drape/fold ends and another begins...such is his genius. In Fabulous condition and showing minimal wear. it's sure to be a head turner and has another several decades of wear left in it. It slips over your head and the only fasteners are a hidden snap and hook at the waist. Looking for the perfect alternative to the "perfect Little Black Dress"...here's a stunning "little ivory dress". By the way...the true color is a true Ivory. You need to be slender and preferably at least 5'7 to pull this off. I'd say it's best for a size 4 or a slender size 6. Measures up to: the bust is almost impossible to measure due to the openness of it and it's plunging neckline but I'd say it's best for 32" to 35" bust ( remember the larger your bust, the more of a Pamela Anderson look you're going to have...and that' NOT the look we're going for...sorry Pamela A. ), the waist is from 24" to 26" max, the hips are pretty flexible due to the draping but best for a 34" to 36" max.
