70's Huge Sterling Silver Signed Medallion
What can I say: Definitely for the "Hippy Goddess" in you ! The pictures don't do this piece ANY justice at all. They fail to capture the gorgeous gleam of the vintage silver, the subtle aged patina of the lustrous metal, or the subtle etched nuances of the front and back decorations. Both the large dove and the smaller bird ( on the back) are actually raised figures on the medallion, giving the figures a three dimensional quality. The piece is signed by the designer and marked "Sterling" and dated 1976. The designer name, from what I can make out is "Towne". The piece is in Mint condition and has a small hole for a chain or rope to pass through so that it can be worn.
