Victorian Signed Filigree Brooch SOLD
| A superbly hand crafted
Victorian filigree & enameled brooch. Sterling silver with and overlay of
gold, otherwise known as Vermeil. The peacock is done in vibrant blue and
green enamel. The filigree work that appears in the birds plumage is
magnificent. Mint condition with the exception of a tiny piece of enamel
that is missing in the birds face...hard to spot because the gold that
peeks through matches the gold in the plumage. I've had this piece for
almost a year and never noticed it before. The brooch is signed with
.o925, the universal symbol for sterling silver, I can also make out
"Portugal" and there's something else written on the back that I can't
make out at all. The piece is stunning ! I have greatly enlarged the
pictures to show you the detail in the piece. The actual size is 2 x 2 at
