40's Silk & Lace Robe Fabric: Luxurious feathery-soft champagne pink silk with 4-5 inches of Ecru colored lace adorning the front of the piece and the cuffs. Condition: Excellent condition with only slight signs of wear, most of which are faint water spots that are the result of home pressing of the garment. These water marks are NOT permanent and are easily removed once the item is dry-cleaned or hand washed. There is also a tiny edge of lace that appears to have been cut from the front bottom portion of the robe. Nothing mentioned here in any way detracts from the beauty, wearability and desirability of the piece. Measurements: Up to 40" at the bust, waist and in through the hips and 54" long from shoulder to hem. Slight train in back of robe. Sleeves are 24" long from shoulder to cuff. What can I say: Stunning elegant vintage dressing gown. Will accommodate most sizes from a small to a large due to the "openness" of the cut/design. The only closure is a single hook at the high neck. The hook will need to be replaced but this isn't considered a flaw by any means. Unlined and just waiting to be worn, modeled and enjoyed ! The styling is very 1940's but the type of silk that makes up the dressing gown actually has more of a 1920's silk feel to it, so the piece may actually be older or it may have been constructed in the 40's with fabric from the 1920's.
