O.K. So I almost kept
this gorgeous Trigere 1960's Suit dress for myself !...Can you really
blame me? Done in a rich wool tweed, with red, white and Kelly Green all
sublimely interwoven in the fabric. The texture of the fabric has a
slightly nubby feel to it, as opposed to it being flat or smooth. The
bodice of the dress, on the other hand, is a smooth light-weight wool
jersey. Fully lined in red silk crepe de chine. The dress features two
hidden side pockets. Check out the fabulous oxidized metallic buttons on
the jacket. Excellent condition except for a few tiny moth nibbles in the
bodice of the dress...due to the matching red silk lining, you really have
to look for these...these could be professionally stitched up, but to be
honest, they are so small, I would recommend leaving them as is...a slight
bit of wear to the lining of the skirt...but again...these tiny flaws are
really NOT worth mentioning in light of the overall condition of both the
jacket and the dress. At one time I did consider having the bodice removed
so that it would be just a jacket and skirt ensemble...and this can still
be done...if you want to have a bit more versatility with the pieces. Even
the jacket is lined in fire-engine red silk crepe de chine ! Fabulous
Trigere...as always !
