1960's "Adolfo" Knit Suit
What can I say: This particular vintage Adolfo suit has long been a member of The Milan Collection (my personal vintage wardrobe stash!). Superb classic styling and attention to detail executed in a light weight, slightly textured nubby wool. The wool knit fabric, done in dark red & black, has the perfect amount of stretch without losing it's shape. Silk satin trim adorns the jacket and skirt waist. The jacket is adorned with small ebony metal buttons (on the pockets, cuffs and down the center of the piece). Patch pockets accent the slim softly tailored jacket. The skirt has a hidden elastic waistband for added comfort. If you're starting to think that this Adolfo looks a lot like a vintage Channel suit, you're right. The Channel influences are deliberate and unmistakable. Both pieces (jacket and skirt) are unlined. MINT condition with all original labels present. If you're looking for classic timeless elegance AND you want to be comfortable at the same time...This suit has your name all over it! Shown here on a size 4 mannequin, this suit will work best for a modern size 4 to 6.
